The Penang Toy Museum’s façade is embellished with pseudo Egyptian-style hieroglyphics and watercolor prints of the sphinx and pyramids of Giza. Located in Jalan Tanjung Bungah (opposite Copthorne Orchid Hotel), the museum is divided into several sections: The Chamber of Horrors (designed for adults), Chamber of Monsters, Chamber of Fantasy, Chamber of Comic Book Heroes, Cave of Dinosaurs, Fields of Combat, Hall of Virtual Reality, Hall of Rock Legends, Hall of Celebrities, Hall of Cartoons, Hall of Beauties (for Barbie lovers) and Star Wars Collections.
Each area has been outfitted with special effects from chilling voiceovers and weird sounds triggered by motion sensors at the Chamber of Horrors to motion effects in the Star Wars Collections hall.
